Business Location Pages: More Important than You Think
To the end user, the location page generally just serves as a simple-designed portion of a website that merely tells people where to go to receive services, shop or dine a restaurant. However, it also helps along getting into Google Maps and Google Local, both of which have a very beneficial and long-lasting impact on a business’s traffic, whether physical or online.
Last week at the Google I/O developer conference, a newly redesigned Google Maps design was introduced. While a number of online commentators have virtually gushed about the new interfacing from an end user perspective, there may be a less-than-rosy view for many local businesses.
